Number 18
Number 18 was built by ALCo in 1920 for export to Cuba - the order was cancelled before the engine shipped, and 18 spent her early years working for the Boyne City & Gaylord in Michigan. 18 was the A&A's first of two steam engines purchased for tourist use in the 1960s.

Number 114
Another ALCo product, of 1952, 114 was built for the Delaware & Hudson. With freight traffic increasing, the A&A purchased the 114 in 2023 to take over as primary freight power on the New York shortline.

A classic steam era shortline
The Arcade & Attica dates back to 1917, and was an early success story in the steam tourist industry in the 1960s. Now, 18 is back in service in a 1960s inspired appearance, with the former Boonton coaches in a similarly 1960s inspired scheme, the railroad is truly ready to play the part of a 1960s tourist railroad for a day long photo and video event celebrating the railroads history and the rise of steam tourist railroading as we know it.
